We are pleased to announce that the proposal to carry out the
Mendoza has been accepted. The same
will take place from September 28 to October 3, 2014 in Congress and Exhibition Center Gdor. Dr. Emilio Civit.
The organization is led by researchers from the Department of Paleontology at the
IANIGLA (CONICET Mendoza CST)
,
devise (CONICET - Universidad de Buenos Aires)
and
International Palaeontological Association (IPA)
, being the Science and Technology Center CONICET Mendoza the host institution. The National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET), the
Argentina Paleontological Association (APA)
, Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires, the National Academy Sciences, Science Research Center of the Earth (CICTERRA National University of Córdoba), the Argentine Institute of Snow Research, Glaciology and Environmental Sciences (IANIGLA), the
Argentina Geological Association (AGA) and
the Argentina Association of Sedimentology (AAS)
are among the institutions that have supported the submission of this proposal.
The IPC together with the specialists and referring international in a wide range of areas of research in paleontology. Previous editions were held in Beijing (2002), Sydney (2006) and London (2010), counting the latest CPI attended by 800 participants. The 4th IPC will be the first to be held in the Americas.
One of the main strengths of the selected proposal is the large paleontological community in our country, which also has a long and recognized tradition in research and scientific production a significant international impact.
represents for us a real pride Argentina is hosting a meeting of this magnitude and the choice as host city of Mendoza. We further believe that this meeting will be a great encouragement to our younger generations, providing the possibility of interaction and promoting discussion on the topics of the art of discipline.
