XXII Brazilian Congress of Paleontology


The Brazilian Congress of Paleontology

is an event of the Brazilian Society of Paleontology, which occurs every two years and aims to bring together practitioners, researchers and academics working in this area of \u200b\u200bthe geosciences, to disseminate and share scientific and technical information and discuss paleontology. The event will feature the participation of research institutions and industry to discuss relevant aspects of paleontology in Brazil, taking into account the development of science, socio-economic and man.
The last Brazilian Congress of Paleontology northeast region was held in 2005 in the city of Aracaju (SE). In 2011, when the realization of the XXIII Brazilian Congress of Paleontology in Natal (RN) will celebrate 50 years after the end of the Second Brazilian Congress of Paleontology in the town of Mossley (RN). Congress is also marked by a posthumous tribute to an agricultural engineer and former professor of UFERSA (Mossley), Vingt-A Rosado, a native of Mossley (1913-2005), and a major in paleontology Rio Grande do Norte. The event also aims to promote social inclusion, with the participation of students and teachers public schools in Rio Grande do Norte, trying to bring the scientific world and society in a scientific and educational context.
