Hydroxycut Before After

Oralux, GNU / Linux for the blind and visually impaired

few days ago, a blind person made a comment in the web of USLjujuy whether there was any program or distribution for access to people with blindness so Luinux and Gaston suggested the use of: Orca Project and Oralux distribution. In this post I'll make a small reference to Oralux extracted from source, which is explained at the end.

Oralux, a GNU / Linux for the blind and visually impaired based on Knoppix.
Oralux works in text mode (no GUI) and is multilingual, gives us the opportunity to work in English, English, French, German and some other language, providing a voice synthesizer for each of these languages.
do not need the hard disk installation, since it is a Live CD that runs just insert the cd and turn on the PC.
is accessible from the outset, and provides a menu very "friendly" to work with different applications ranging from a text editor to a web browser. Oralux
covers a large number of "user types" from one who only want to perform basic tasks on a PC, even one that you want to manage or develop systems. Being based on Knoppix, and this in Debian, have many possibilities and a lot of software available for Oralux.
And if you've tried and like, Oralux can be installed on the hard drive in a very simple and accessible
respecting the settings that have selected at that time. Oralux
offers three modes: Using the environment
Emacs with Emacspeak .
Using the screen reader Yasr. Or
using Speakup screen reader.
And all these environments working with the voices of Mbrola. Is also considering a future add graphical environment and the Orca screen reader.
